Before you pay anything, you can open a free account. It holds one gallery. The paid plan removes that one-gallery wall, raises the proof storage ceiling, and turns on the full-resolution ZIP handoff. Almost everything else works the same on both accounts.
Pricing pages tend to hide the part that matters, which is where the limits sit. This one states them in full: 1,000 photos per gallery, 250 GB of proofs on a paid account, 5 GB on a free account, and a full-resolution ZIP that stays live for 3 days per handoff with 100 GB of standing ZIPs per account.

Monthly and yearly buy exactly the same thing. The only difference is how often you are billed. There is no larger plan to be moved onto as you grow, so the number of galleries you publish in a year never changes the bill.

The free account is a real account, not a demo. You can brand the gallery, send it to a client, collect their picks and pull them back into Lightroom. What it cannot do is hold a second gallery or hand over a full-resolution ZIP. A second gallery on a free account is blocked until the account is paid.
At roughly 0.6 MB per proof JPEG, the 5 GB free ceiling is about 8,000 photos. The 1,000-photo limit of the one free gallery is reached long before it.
What the paid plan includes
Paying removes the one-gallery wall. From then on you can publish as many galleries as you want, for as many clients as you want, with no charge attached to either number.
Paying also raises the proof ceiling from 5 GB to 250 GB. Proofs are the photos your clients browse, pick from and download. They are compressed in the browser before they are hosted, which is why 250 GB comes to roughly 416,000 photos.
Paying turns on full-resolution delivery. You upload a full-resolution ZIP to a gallery. It stays live for 3 days per handoff, and you can upload it again whenever a client needs it. Your account can hold 100 GB of standing ZIPs at once.
Everything in the lower rows of the table above comes with it: your branding on every client page with no platform branding, your own subdomain, Face Search, the two-way Lightroom Classic plugin, star and love picks, passwords, sub-galleries, your own payment link and account-wide analytics. Hosted galleries do not expire. They stay up until you delete them.
The fair-use ceilings, stated in full
"Unlimited" on this plan means unlimited galleries, photos and clients under fair use. These are the numbers behind that phrase.

These are abuse tripwires, not plan sizes. There is no overage rate and no automatic upgrade, because there is no plan above this one. A delivery business sits a long way from 250 GB. What is not sold
Here is what the plan does not include and does not charge for.
- No print store. Clients download their photos. There is no lab ordering.
- No commissions. If you add your own payment link to a gallery, the money goes through your link. No cut is taken.
- No per-gallery fees. The hundredth gallery costs the same as the first: nothing extra.
- No storage tiers. Every paid account has the same ceilings.
- No seats. There are no multi-user accounts, no roles and no separate logins for assistants. A two-person studio shares one account.
One more thing worth saying plainly. The payment link is a button in the gallery, not a checkout. Downloads do not unlock on their own when a client pays. If you gate downloads behind payment, you switch them on yourself.
Who should not buy it
A cheap plan is a bad deal if it cannot do the job. These studios should buy something else, and there is no point pretending otherwise.
Studios whose revenue runs through a print store. There is no store and no lab integration. If prints and products are a real line in your accounts, keep a platform built around them. The print store guide works through that decision.
Studios that run the business from one CRM. There is no CRM and no contract signing. You can attach an invoice and a payment link to a gallery, and that is where it stops.

Anyone looking for a RAW or master archive. The plan hosts JPEG proofs. It does not warehouse RAW files or master video, and that is exactly what keeps the price flat.
