Answer
How to Download All Photos From CloudSpot
Two people search this: the client who was sent a CloudSpot gallery, and the photographer who wants everything out before leaving. CloudSpot documents the first route in detail. For the second, it documents no account-wide export.
Updated 30 September 2026
The short answer for a client: open the gallery, click the Download icon, choose what to take, and wait for the email with your download link.
That only works if the photographer switched downloads on. CloudSpot states that free downloads are disabled by default.
The short answer for a photographer is less comfortable. We searched CloudSpot's help centre on 30 September 2026 and found no article describing an export of a whole account.
That is an absence of documentation, not proof that no path exists. It does mean you should not plan a move around a button nobody has described to you.
This page covers both readers, what CloudSpot says happens to your data when you cancel or go quiet, and why the files you trust should never be the ones on a gallery platform.
If you are the client: the documented download
CloudSpot's client articles describe one route. These are the steps as its help centre gives them.
- Open the gallery link your photographer sent.
- Click the Download icon in the gallery.
- Choose what to take. CloudSpot says a client can take the full gallery, individual folders or single images, and can select a favorites list as well as extra folders.
- Enter the download PIN if the gallery asks for one.
- Wait for the email. CloudSpot states the client receives an email with the link to download.
- Open that email on a computer if you can, click Download, and unzip the ZIP file.
CloudSpot's own download guide recommends a computer. It says a phone download may take longer and fills more storage on the device.
The same guide suggests uploading the unzipped photos to iCloud or Google Photos afterwards if you want them on every device.
Why the download button is missing or the files are small
Almost every stuck client is looking at a photographer setting, not a bug. Each row below is from CloudSpot's own pages.
| What you see | What CloudSpot states | Who can fix it |
|---|---|---|
| No download option at all | Free downloads are disabled by default | The photographer |
| A request for a code | An optional 4-digit PIN, required for anyone downloading; it can be reset or disabled | The photographer |
| A favorites list will not download | Disabling downloads on a folder also blocks favorites lists that contain images from that folder | The photographer |
| Photos are smaller than expected | On the Free plan, downloads are limited to 2048px on the longest edge | Only a paid plan; the pricing page shows high-res downloads from Entry up |
| An old download link stopped working | On the Free plan, all direct download links expire after 7 days | Request a new download |
CloudSpot does not publish how long a download link lasts on paid plans. The photographer can set an expiry date on a ZIP link, so ask them if yours has stopped working.
If you need print-quality files and received 2048px copies, the answer is a conversation with the photographer. No setting on the client side changes it.
Downloading on a phone
CloudSpot's phone guide dates from 4 January 2024, so read it as CloudSpot's guidance at that time.
- On an iPhone, the guide says the Files app unzips the download automatically.
- On Android, the guide says to use Extract on the downloaded file.
- The guide says downloads will fail on cellular data, so use Wi-Fi.
A full gallery can be large. Check free space on the phone before you start, or use a computer as CloudSpot recommends.
If you are the photographer: what CloudSpot documents
On the owner side, CloudSpot documents several download tools. Each one is scoped to a folder, a favorites list or a client, not to the whole account.
| Tool | What CloudSpot states | What it is not |
|---|---|---|
| Send .zip link | From a folder's menu, enter an email, add one folder or use Add All, customise the image size and set an optional expiry date | The article describes the recipient as the client. It does not describe it as a backup tool, and it does not list the image sizes. |
| Download Favorites | Collection Analytics, Favorites, Quick Actions, Download Favorites; large lists can be emailed split into 3 GB files | A client's picks, not the whole collection |
| View client downloads | Shows single image, full gallery and folder downloads in Collection Analytics | A record of downloads, not a download |
| Lightroom plugin | A one-way sync from Lightroom to CloudSpot | A way to pull galleries back down |
| Whole-account export | No help-centre article found, searched 30 September 2026 | Do not plan around one |
The practical route, if you need a CloudSpot copy of something, is collection by collection, while the subscription is still active, checking each download against the gallery count before you move on.
For most studios there is a better question first: do you need CloudSpot's copy at all?
A platform export is not your archive
What comes down from a gallery host is only ever what went up. CloudSpot states it accepts files up to 150 MB each, and its pricing page lists the Free and Entry plans as JPEG only.
So for many studios, CloudSpot holds delivery JPEGs, not RAW files, edit settings or layered masters. Those live in your catalog and on your drives.
If your masters are intact, rebuild from them. Downloading years of galleries back from a host is slow and gives you copies you already own.
Download from CloudSpot only the jobs whose local files are gone. Put those downloads on two drives before you delete anything.
How to hold the originals themselves, what to keep and what it costs, is covered in affordable archive storage for a photography studio.
Before you cancel, downgrade or go quiet
CloudSpot publishes what happens to your data in each case. Read this table before you touch the billing page.
| Event | What CloudSpot states |
|---|---|
| You cancel | The account moves to Free at the next renewal. With over 5 GB stored at that time, the system removes all data from the account. |
| You cancel mid-term | Plans are prepaid; the account stays on its plan until renewal. No refunds for unused time. |
| You downgrade to a lower paid plan | Done through support; current storage must fit the new plan first. The article does not say what happens to data over the limit. |
| The account sits unused | Dormant after generally between 6 and 12 months; the account and its data may be removed; removed data cannot be restored |
| You delete a collection | Deleted collections, folders, images and gallery data cannot be recovered |
| You expire a gallery | The gallery stays on your account but the client can no longer reach it; the date can be changed or removed at any time |
The 5 GB line is the one that matters most. Here is where each plan sits against it, from CloudSpot's pricing page.
| CloudSpot plan | Regular monthly price | Storage |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 5 GB |
| Entry | $7 | 15 GB |
| Lite | $17 | 100 GB |
| Pro | $34 | 500 GB |
| Unlimited | $50 | Unlimited |
Any paid account holding more than 5 GB is in the zone where cancelling removes everything. Finish your downloads, or reduce the account below 5 GB, before the renewal date.
Old gallery links live on CloudSpot, so they stop working when the data goes. Send clients new links first. The order of operations is in does switching gallery platform break old client links.
Moving the work to clientgallery.io
clientgallery.io has one importer, and it reads Pixieset only. There is no CloudSpot importer.
So a move from CloudSpot is a re-upload, and the best source is your own masters, not CloudSpot's copy. There are two ways in.
- The web uploader. Create a gallery and drop in your exported JPEGs. They are compressed in the browser into proofs sized for fast viewing.
- The Lightroom Classic plugin. If the job is still in your catalog, publish it from there. Unlike a one-way sync, the plugin also pulls the client's picks back into the catalog. The setup is in publish a client gallery from Lightroom Classic.
clientgallery.io hosts JPEG proofs. It does not store RAW files or master video. The gallery is the client's copy, not your backup.
| clientgallery.io item | Figure |
|---|---|
| Free account | 1 gallery, up to 1,000 photos |
| Paid plan | $10 a month, or $110 a year |
| Photos per paid account | Up to 500,000 |
| Features by plan | Every feature on every plan, free included |
| Client download | The whole gallery in one click, or any single image |
| Full-resolution ZIP | Uploaded by the photographer per gallery, live 3 days per handoff, re-uploadable any time, 100 GB of standing ZIPs per account |
| Gallery expiry | None while the account exists |
| Store and commission | No store, no commission |
| CloudSpot importer | None |
A side-by-side of the two platforms is in CloudSpot vs clientgallery.io, and the switching argument is in the CloudSpot alternative page.
Who should stay on CloudSpot
Downloading what you cannot replace is sensible either way. Leaving is not right for everyone.
- You sell through the gallery. CloudSpot has a store with commission figures on its pricing page. clientgallery.io has no store and no checkout; you can paste your own payment link, but releasing downloads after payment is a switch you flip yourself.
- Your clients use CloudSpot mobile apps. Its pricing page lists them alongside galleries. If your clients rely on that app, weigh it before you move.
- You just paid for a term. CloudSpot plans are prepaid with no refunds for unused time, so use the term you bought and plan the move for its end.
- You want the host to keep full-resolution files for clients indefinitely. clientgallery.io keeps proofs indefinitely, while its full-resolution ZIP is a 3-day handoff.
The move fits a studio whose work is shoot, upload, send a link, collect picks and deliver, and whose masters already live on its own drives.

Frequently asked
How does a client download a whole CloudSpot gallery?
Click the Download icon in the gallery, choose the full gallery, folders or a favorites list, enter the PIN if one is set, then open the email CloudSpot sends and click Download. CloudSpot recommends a computer and says the files arrive as a ZIP to unzip. Sources: CloudSpot help articles 1979890 (14 August 2025) and 7857175 (14 May 2025).
Why is there no download button in my CloudSpot gallery?
CloudSpot states that free downloads are disabled by default, so the photographer has to switch them on. They can also require a 4-digit PIN and block downloads per folder. Ask the photographer. Source: CloudSpot help article 114565, fetched 30 September 2026.
Why are my CloudSpot downloads only 2048px?
On CloudSpot's Free plan, downloads are limited to 2048px on the longest edge, and direct download links expire after 7 days. CloudSpot's pricing page shows high-res downloads from the Entry plan up. Source: CloudSpot help article 1090678, updated 22 July 2026, and the pricing page, fetched 30 September 2026.
Can a photographer export an entire CloudSpot account?
CloudSpot's help centre describes no account-wide export, checked 30 September 2026. It documents folder ZIP links sent to a client, a Download Favorites action and a one-way Lightroom plugin. Plan collection by collection, and rebuild from your own masters where you still have them.
What happens to my photos if I cancel CloudSpot?
CloudSpot states the account moves to Free at the next renewal, and if more than 5 GB is stored then, all data is removed. There are no refunds for unused time. Download or reduce below 5 GB first. Source: CloudSpot help article 4450102, dated 5 January 2026.
Can clientgallery.io import my CloudSpot galleries?
No. The only importer reads Pixieset. From CloudSpot you re-upload, ideally from your own masters, with the web uploader or by publishing from Lightroom Classic with the plugin. clientgallery.io hosts JPEG proofs and keeps no RAW files, so your drives stay your archive.
