The complete decision guide
Photo Proofing and Editing Handoffs: Keep Every Pick Traceable
Carry the client’s selection from the gallery to the correct source, treatment and final export.
Start here
Choose the right starting point
The proofing loop succeeds when the chosen preview maps to the intended original and treatment. Stable names, revision labels and a small verification pass prevent the most expensive mistakes: retouching the wrong image or delivering an outdated version.
Test a handful of images before publishing the whole job. Include a renamed frame, an alternate treatment and a revision in the test. Check the selected file count and the source mapping in the editing application actually used by your team.
Forty-five selected frames with alternate treatments
Count = 45 selected frames × treatment count. These are illustrative exported files, not extra photographs captured. These are illustrative calculations, not measured customer results or plan limits.
Your evaluation
Turn the trial into a decision
Use the guides below to create an acceptance record for the work you do. Mark each requirement as essential, optional or outside the scope of the service. Test the essential items with your own files before moving an active client project.
Keep a written result for both a successful handoff and a failed one. If an important step needs another tool or a manual process, include that work in the comparison. Choose a paid plan when the verified workflow and current allowances fit your workload.

Where clientgallery.io fits
ClientGallery offers a Lightroom Classic workflow; the integration should be evaluated in your actual catalog. Other editing tools can use a deliberate export and filename handoff without implying a native integration. Keep source catalogs and originals under your own recovery plan.
