Pixpa Alternative for Client Galleries: One Flat Plan, No Storage Tiers
Pixpa sells a website, a store and client albums in one subscription, and meters storage by plan. If all you need is delivery and proofing, one flat plan covers it. If you want the website too, Pixpa is the better fit.
Updated 17 September 2026
Pixpa sells a website builder, an online store and client galleries, together or as a galleries-only plan.
That bundle is its strength, and it is also why some photographers look elsewhere.
A studio that already has a website, or does not want one, can end up paying for a builder it does not use.
A studio with a growing archive keeps running into a storage meter.
This page sets out what Pixpa's own pages say about its plans, what clientgallery.io does differently, and which studios should stay on Pixpa.
Every Pixpa figure comes from Pixpa's pricing pages or help centre, fetched on 17 September 2026, and is listed under Sources at the end.
Why this page prints no Pixpa price
When we fetched Pixpa's two pricing pages on 17 September 2026, neither returned a readable dollar figure.
Pixpa's help articles refer readers back to those pages rather than stating prices.
We print only numbers we could read on Pixpa's own pages, so this page gives no Pixpa price.
Check the current figures on pixpa.com/pricing before you decide.
What we could verify is how the plans are structured, and that matters more for a gallery library than the entry price does.
How Pixpa structures its plans
Pixpa sells two families of plans.
The All-in-One family (Basic, Creator, Professional and Advanced) combines the website, the store and client galleries.
The Client Galleries Only family is a standalone product, and Pixpa's pricing page says to pick it if you already have a website.
Every plan includes unlimited private client albums, and Pixpa's FAQ says you can create as many albums as you wish.
The meter is storage.
According to Pixpa's help centre, the original images you upload to client galleries and ecommerce galleries count toward that limit, and so do the files in the Files section.
Web versions of images used on the website do not count.
| Pixpa plan | Family | Storage |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | All-in-One | 3 GB |
| Creator | All-in-One | 5 GB |
| Professional | All-in-One | 25 GB |
| Advanced | All-in-One | 100 GB |
| Lite | Client Galleries Only | 20 GB |
| Standard | Client Galleries Only | 100 GB |
| Growth | Client Galleries Only | 500 GB |
| Premium | Client Galleries Only | 1,000 GB |
| Unlimited | Client Galleries Only | Unlimited |
Pixpa's help centre adds one more limit on the cheapest All-in-One plan: “The Basic plan includes 200 images only.”
Its pricing page places that 200-image limit on website galleries, and the help article counts a gallery's active and inactive images.
Billing, trial and refunds at Pixpa
| Item | What Pixpa publishes |
|---|---|
| Billing terms | Monthly, yearly or every two years, with a discount on the longer terms |
| Free trial | 15 days, no credit card to start |
| Money-back guarantee | 30 days |
| Commission on sales | None: no setup, listing or transaction fees from Pixpa |
| Payment processing | The payment provider's own fees still apply |
The size of those discounts read differently across fetches of Pixpa's pages, so this page gives no percentage.
A 15-day trial with no card and a 30-day refund window make Pixpa easy to test.
Zero commission is a real point in Pixpa's favour for a studio that sells prints or downloads.
What Pixpa client albums can do
Pixpa's client albums are a full-featured gallery product, and it is fair to say so.
- Clients can download in four sizes: Original, Large (2048 px), Medium (1200 px) and Small (400 px).
- You can set an expiry date and time on an album, if you want it to expire.
- You can limit how many times a user can download.
- You can cap how many images go into a favourites list.
- The standalone plans list proofing, favourites and comments, a watermark, selling prints or downloads, your own branding, and a connected domain.
Several of those are things clientgallery.io does not do, and the comparison below says which.
What clientgallery.io does differently
clientgallery.io is one plan: $10 a month, or $100 a year (8.33 a month).
It includes unlimited galleries, photos and clients under fair use.
There are no storage tiers, no per-gallery fees and no commissions.
Uploaded photos are compressed in the browser into proof JPEGs of about 0.6 MB each, and they stay hosted for as long as the account exists.
The fair-use ceilings are abuse tripwires: 1,000 photos per gallery and 250 GB of proofs per paid account, which is hundreds of thousands of photos.
A free account holds one gallery and 5 GB.
Full-resolution delivery is a paid feature: you upload a full-resolution ZIP per gallery, it stays live for 3 days per handoff, and you can upload it again at any time, with 100 GB of standing ZIPs per account.
Hosted galleries never expire.
Client pages carry no platform branding, and galleries live on your studio's own subdomain. The details are in the white label guide.
Clients star or love photos, then send their picks with a name and email, which locks the selection until you reopen it.
The Lightroom Classic plugin works both ways: it publishes proofs from the catalog and pulls picks back in as stars, a Pick flag, colour labels and a collection, as described in the picks-into-Lightroom guide.
Face Search is included, off by default, and switched on per gallery; matching runs in the guest's browser and the selfie is never uploaded.

Who should stay on Pixpa
A studio that wants one tool for its website and its galleries should stay on Pixpa.
clientgallery.io does not build websites, and it will not replace your portfolio site.
A studio that sells prints or paid downloads from the gallery should stay too.
Pixpa has a store with zero commission, and clientgallery.io has no store at all.
A studio that relies on expiring albums, capped downloads or a built-in watermark will find none of those here.
A studio that wants its original files hosted beside its galleries should also stay, because clientgallery.io hosts proof JPEGs and not RAW files or masters.
clientgallery.io fits the studio that already has a website, delivers and proofs JPEG galleries, and wants a bill that does not grow with the archive.
If you are choosing between Pixpa and another store-led platform instead, see Pixieset vs Pixpa.
Moving from Pixpa
There is no importer for Pixpa.
The only importer clientgallery.io has reads Pixieset accounts.
Moving from Pixpa is a manual job: you upload your galleries again.
- Start with the galleries clients still open, not the whole archive.
- If the shoots are in your Lightroom Classic catalog, publish them with the plugin, which also sets you up to pull picks back later.
- Otherwise, export JPEGs from your own edits and use the web uploader, which accepts JPG and PNG.
- Send each client the new link, and keep your Pixpa account live until the old links are no longer needed.
- Keep your masters on your own drives, because the new galleries hold proofs, not originals.

Frequently asked
What is a good Pixpa alternative for client galleries?
If you already have a website and only need to deliver and proof JPEG galleries, clientgallery.io is one plan at $10 a month or $100 a year, with unlimited galleries, photos and clients under fair use, no storage tiers and no platform branding. If you want a website builder and galleries in one tool, stay on Pixpa.
How much storage does Pixpa include?
Pixpa's pages list 3 GB on Basic, 5 GB on Creator, 25 GB on Professional and 100 GB on Advanced. The standalone Client Galleries plans list 20 GB, 100 GB, 500 GB, 1,000 GB and unlimited. Original images uploaded to client galleries count toward the limit.
How much does Pixpa cost?
This page does not state a Pixpa price, because neither of Pixpa's pricing pages returned a readable figure when we fetched them on 17 September 2026. Check pixpa.com/pricing for current prices. Pixpa does publish a 15-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Does Pixpa take a commission on sales?
No. Pixpa's help centre says it charges no setup, listing or transaction fees on store orders. The payment provider's own processing fees still apply.
Can I import my Pixpa galleries into clientgallery.io?
No. The only importer reads Pixieset accounts. Moving from Pixpa means uploading your galleries again, either from your Lightroom Classic catalog with the plugin or through the web uploader.
Do clientgallery.io galleries expire?
Hosted galleries do not expire while the account exists, unless you revoke or delete them. Only the full-resolution ZIP is time-limited, at 3 days per upload, and it can be uploaded again at any time.
Does clientgallery.io have a print store or a watermark?
No to both. There is no store and no commission; you can paste your own payment link. The product applies no watermark; you can add one with Lightroom Classic's export watermark before publishing. A studio that needs a store should stay on Pixpa.
